I spent so much time focusing on this old self I once was and that was the biggest lesson I faced. Letting go to surrender and fully step into my power as a woman. In all its totality. Once I understood what that meant, I was able to go forward in my journey. It has also taught me to honor myself in order to keep a balance. My heart has expanded. I am a better woman than I was before I had my daughter.
Motherhood has completed me in every way.

The greatest lesson motherhood has taught me
is that I must show grace and kindness to myself as I journey down this road that I was meant to travel. My daughter is mesmerized by me and sees me as absolutely perfect, even when I mess up, so there is no need to be hard on myself as I learn and grow in this new role. I also realized early on that motherhood is not something that I have to carry alone. There is so much truth in, “it takes a village.” My mother has been present every single day to hold my hand through what has been the hardest, most beautiful thing I’ve ever experienced. I am a mother who is strengthened by other mothers.
