7 Ways to Set Goals Like a Boss and Slay Them!
Being a millennial you are constantly trying to take yourself to the next level. It can some times be hard trying to navigate life post graduation, quarter life, as they say ‘hittin’ 30’ or at any point in your life. You run into the fact that you are motivated by a lot of experiences or work fields, but for some reason you just aren’t feeling it, you don't feel the drive you once felt. You begin to get into that slump and think ‘okay, now what?’. You want to truly figure out your purpose and live in it daily. You want to start that business, quit that job you hate, travel the world, eat right, get fit, find the right partner, get married and the list goes on.
Often times it is helpful when you turn to your best friends or family to keep you accountable, but to no avail it just has not been going the way you would like. Why not try to hold yourself accountable for once?
Here’s how you can do it:
- Grab a cute notebook + pen (oh, and that glass of wine)
- Set yourself a timer for 5 minutes and just write, get everything out. Any and everything!
- Create a list of your long term goals. Get creative!
- Now dig a little deeper choose 1 or 2 of your long term goals into S.M.A.R.T goals
5. Set a calendar event for 1-2 weeks from today’s date for a self check in.
6. Celebrate your small wins and maybe even those loses.
7. Repeat as necessary
Not only have you just made the first step toward your goal but you have given yourself the self reflection and me time that you needed. Thank yourself for putting in that work!

You might set that goal and the Universe is just not ready for you to receive it right now, next week…etc. You have to go through that storm to know sunshine. ALWAYS, always be gentle with yourself.
